(KFVS) - A wintry mix of light snow, sleet and freezing rain that fell Monday evening into early Tuesday morning created travel concerns throughout the Heartland.
Road crews in southeast Missouri, southern Illinois and western Kentucky were busy clearing and salting roadways during and after the wintry system moved out, but slick spots remained due to temperatures below freezing as the snow fell.
Potentially hazardous travel areas are on side roads, bridges, overpasses and untreated roads. Sidewalks and parking lots could also be very slick.
There has been at least one crash-related injury reported in Heartland on Tuesday.
