1TOMS RIVER, NJ – An off-duty Toms River police officer who smashed her way into her ex-boyfriend’s home has been permanently barred from law enforcement after entering a guilty plea. Rebecca Sayegh, 32, admitted to burglary, criminal mischief, and simple assault on Nov. 17.
The charges trace back to a late-night break-in at a Berkeley Township residence in April.
