CHARLES TOWN — The Old Opera House is kicking off their Christmas season with two holiday classics, “A Christmas Carol: Scrooge & Marley” and “The Nutcracker.” Managing Director and Acting Instructor Steven Brewer is heading up the Christmas Carol this year. The story follows Ebenezer Scrooge in the classic story of transformation, this time with a bit of a twist. Instead of visiting Scrooge once at the beginning of the story, his old business partner Jacob Marley plays a bigger role, organizing the other ghosts to show Scrooge the meaning of Christmas.
“We’ve done several versions of the Christmas Carol, including this one,” Brewer said. “We always try to approach the story with fresh eyes. Different actors playing the roles and even returning actors, always bring new energy to the story
