A fatal crash was reported Tuesday morning in Adams County as snow and rain blanketed the area, officials said.

Adams County dispatch logs show the county coroner was called just after 9:30 a.m. to a crash with entrapment on Route 16 (Waynesboro Pike) in Hamiltonban Township.

The crash was first reported at 9:17 a.m., according to dispatch.

PennDOT spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler said Route 16 is shut down from Jack Mountain Road to Harbaugh Valley Road.

The circumstances of the crash and identity of the person who was killed have not been released. The number of vehicles involved and extent of non-fatal injuries are also unknown.
