At this point, President Donald Trump ’s love for McDonald’s is obvious.
Though he’s a die-hard fan of the Golden Arches and its various menu items, however, Trump has his own reservations regarding the Filet-O-Fish sandwich.
Debuting as a franchise item in 1962, it was added to the menu in 1965. Though shrinkflation is indeed a real thing, the fish sandwich hasn’t changed in years.
When Trump spoke for nearly an hour at the annual McDonald’s Impact Summit , he labeled himself a super fan of the chain by saying, “I’m also one of your all-time most loyal customers.” He then described the restaurant as something of an American icon, suggesting that it’s as important as the flag.
