Dr. Mehmet Oz, administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, urges people 65 and older to review their Medicare plans before the Sunday deadline for open enrollment.

Oz spoke on the C4 and Bryan Nehman” show Tuesday morning. He encouraged everyone who is eligible for the Medicare plan to sign up.

“Take advantage of it, especially when you paid for it, effectively, by working in America for your life,” Oz said. “You’ve earned the right to have the flexibility we’re trying to give you. Why throw it away?”

Oz said even if you are already signed up, you should check to make sure your Medicare plan is right for you.
