Thailand has been all over the travel headlines as of late. Just a couple of days ago, the Canadian government updated its travel advisories for Thailand due to Tropical Storm Senyar .
Despite the storm warning, Thailand remains a coveted vacation spot for U.S. travelers. So much so that United Airlines launched a new affordable route to Thailand after an 11-year hiatus . The new flights will only further boost travel to Thailand.
However, last month, in November, Thailand did experience a setback, at least from the perspective of tourists, with an alcohol ban in place. The rules raised concerns, given that fines were being issued for noncompliance.
Given the backlash from the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act, Thailand's Public Health Ministry has decided to revise its plan.
