Scores of individuals came out Saturday evening to enjoy the crisp air and holiday sentiment as Ranson kicked off the season with the lighting of their Christmas Tree in Lancaster Circle. Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived via a horse-drawn sleigh and spent time during the evening conversing with youngsters about wish lists and good behavior before returning to the North Pole to take stock of all they learned.
Wagon rides through the streets aglow with hundreds of Christmas lights put many in the spirit for the upcoming season. Many more enjoyed hot chocolate and fellowship with friends and neighbors while enjoying all of the activities on hand for the evening.
