The scene of the crash in Harford County.

By Zak Failla From Daily Voice

A stretch of I-95 was shut down on Tuesday morning following a reported tractor-trailer crash in Northern Maryland that closed the interstate.

At around 11 a.m. on Dec. 2, first responders were called to the northbound lanes of the interstate near MD-24 in Harford County, where a crash shut down all lanes of the highway, backing up traffic for miles in Edgewood.

According to reports, there was a possible HazMat situation that was complicating the crash scene. Drivers have been advised to avoid the area as crews continue to investigate the incident.

No details about possible injuries or what caused the crash have been released.
