LAFAYETTE COUNTY (KSLA) - During a standoff, a suspect allegedly began firing at authorities, resulting in troopers returning fire and killing them.
On Dec. 1, authorities went to serve a warrant, but the suspect escaped and led troopers on a pursuit.
The chase went near Stamps, Arkansas, and ended near the community of Falcon when the suspect’s car was disabled.
The suspect would not leave the vehicle, so negotiators were called.
At some point during the incident, the suspect allegedly started shooting at police. Arkansas State Police returned fire and killed the person.
Troopers say that they believe the suspect was live on Facebook at some point before the shots were fired.
Updates to come as more information becomes available.
