A Huntingdon County man is currently behind bars after state police said he stabbed a family member’s dog on Thanksgiving.
Antawn Hamman, 21, has been charged with one felony count of aggravated cruelty to animals — causing serious injury or death, according to WJAC .
After receiving a call about an injured animal, police came to a home in Shirley Township.
Once on the scene they found Hamman, who refused to talk to police. A family member told authorities that Hamman had been struggling with mental health problems and suicidal thoughts, and was not to be left alone.
That same witness told police that Hamman had not slept in four days and told people he was seeing things.
