WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach's office says Wichita Public Schools may be at risk of losing federal funding following allegations regarding at least one school's transgender policies.
"Our office has received allegations that East High, and possibly other schools within your district, have engaged in gender transitioning of minors without parental knowledge or consent, and that you may have additional transgender policies which are not in conformance with federal and state law," Assistant Attorney General Jay Rodriguez said in a letter to USD 259 .
