Weeks after parting ways with central defender Walker Zimmerman, Nashville SC has added a player who could potentially become his replacement.
The team on Tuesday announced the signing of center back Maxwell Woledzi, a center back who was named his team’s best player last season in the Eliteserien, which is Norway’s top soccer league.
Financial terms were not disclosed in a release.
The 24-year-old Woledzi, a Ghanian native who will occupy an international roster spot, is signed through the 2028 season with an option for 2029, pending receipt of his international transfer certificate and P-1 visa.
Woledzi played in the same Norwegian league as current NSC starting midfielders Eddi Tagseth and Patrick Yazbek.
