Stefon Diggs has been having a successful first year in New England , and it isn’t going unnoticed by Mike Vrabel.

But it’s more than the Patriots wide receiver being strong on the field that the coach appreciates.

“He has an energy and a spirit that I think draws others in. But I’d say the most important thing, what probably impresses me the most, is his ability to laugh at himself,” Vrabel said Tuesday during his weekly appearance on WEEI .

“These days, sometimes it’s hard. He’s in the public eye and you don’t have the ability to laugh at yourself, and you take yourself too seriously,” he continued . “I appreciate that in everyone, and especially in Stef. Whether the guys are messing with Drake (Maye) or messing with Stef, I think that’s probably what I’m most proud of.
