Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor could miss out on just shy of £500,000 when he leaves Royal Lodge as a result of repairs that will need to take place to the 30-room mansion. It was confirmed just weeks ago that Andrew, formerly known as The Duke of York, was to leave Royal Lodge as a result of scandals surrounding his past accusations with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, despite the fact Andrew has denied all accusations against him.
The King’s brother, 65, also lost his royal titles. With Andrew having held a lease on Royal Lodge until 2078, it was believed he was to be given a financial settlement for surrendering the lease early.
