GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, MI – A victim of the Walmart mass stabbing in Northern Michigan has filed a civil lawsuit against the retailer.
Morgan & Morgan, America’s largest injury law firm, announced the case today. The incident happened about four months ago on July 26 at the Walmart store in Garfield Township, just outside Traverse City. Bradford Gille, who is charged with 11 counts of attempted murder and one count of terrorism, is also named in the civil case.
Attorney David Stechow said that Walmart was negligent as this incident unfolded throughout the store over the course of 33 minutes. The retailer did not follow its own policies, he said, of reporting red flags such as oversized backpacks and loitering. 17
