Vanderbilt has pulled off one of the biggest recruiting coups in recent years on the eve of signing day.
On Tuesday, the Commodores flipped quarterback Jared Curtis, a five-star prospect and the No. 1 overall player in the 2026 class, from Georgia. The news was first reported by Rivals' Steve Wiltfong.
Curtis is a Nashville native who plays high school football at Nashville Christian, and he has been committed to the Bulldogs since May. However, Vandy had been trending for the hometown player since an unofficial visit in late October, and last week, the 'Dores received multiple predictions to flip Curtis.
Curtis becomes the highest-ranked recruit in Vanderbilt program history, and it's a massive recruiting win for Clark Lea and his staff as they look to turn the Commodores into a legitimate SEC contender.
With Diego Pavia expected to exhaust his eligibility after this season, Curtis will have the chance to compete for the starting job immediately in 2026.
