Sabrina Carpenter blasted the White House on Tuesday for using her song Juno in an ICE deportation video.
Carpenter wrote on X that the video “is evil and disgusting. Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.”
The White House posted the video on Monday, featuring images of ICE officers detaining individuals, set to Carpenter’s song as a soundtrack. Quoting from the lyrics, the White House posted on X, “Have you ever tried this one? Bye-bye.”
A White House spokesperson did not immediately return a request for comment.
The White House has featured the songs of other artists in deportation and other videos, raising their anger over their use without their OK. In October, Kenny Loggins objected to the use of his song Danger Zone in an AI generated video that
