GEORGIA, USA — A teen activist who was recently elected to a position within the Georgia Republican Party has stepped down from his role.

Ja'Quon Stembridge , who served as Assistant Secretary to the GOP, resigned from his position on Saturday, Nov. 29, according to a statement from Chairman Josh McKoon that was posted on the social platform X.

He did not provide any details as to the reason behind Stembridge's decision. However, he did say the GOP plans to find someone to replace him immediately.

"The Georgia Republican Party will move promptly to fill the vacancy in accordance with our bylaws," said McKoon in a statement.

Stembridge was elected to his role in early 2025. He is from Greene County and attended Greene County High School.
