NEW YORK (WABC) -- Mayor Eric Adams met Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani for about an hour at Gracie Mansion on Tuesday afternoon.

It marked the first face-to-face meeting between the two since Mamdani's victory on election day.

Adams announced the meeting earlier Tuesday morning and said his team would turn over documents.

"He can make the determination of what projects he wants to continue, every mayor brings of their pet projects and what I must do is show what we have accomplished and turn over documents so he can determine if he wants to continue or not," Adams said.

After their meeting, Mamdani said it "went well" and he "appreciated the conversation."

He said they "focused on how to make this as smooth as possible of a transition."
