Ten live hand grenades were found by a renovation crew inside an Olalla home Monday, according to the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office. The grenades were found alongside other explosive devices.

Contractors were working on the home when they discovered the case and the explosives inside. The homeowners, who were not at the house during construction, were immediately contacted by the workers.

The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office notified Washington State Patrol’s (WSP) bomb technicians, while an explosive ordinance team from Naval Submarine Base Bangor was also called to the scene.
