LOUISVILLE, Ky. — While the first snowfall of the season caused some disruptions in Kentucky and southern Indiana, viewers got some amazing photos of the snow.

Kentuckiana schools either closed or decided to do virtual instruction days, Transit Authority of River City (TARC) adjusted some of its routes, and Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) changed how it responds to non-injury collisions.

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Louisville also issued a Winter Weather Advisory for most of the region through 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

The Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport reported 4.7 inches of snow, which is a new record for Dec. 2. The previous record was 2.7 inches back in 2000.
