( NewsNation ) — Ocean Spray is investigating recent reports that cans of its jellied cranberry sauce only contained water after multiple videos went viral over the Thanksgiving holiday.

“We’re aware of a few reports about cans containing water instead of cranberry sauce, and we’re looking into how this may have happened,” the company said in a statement to NBC News .
