English actor Dame Judi Dench has provided a health update regarding her degenerative eye condition.

The 90-year-old actor shared details in a Nov. 25 interview with ITV alongside her former ‘Macbeth’ costar, Ian McKellen."

After the interviewer told Dench she was rarely seen on camera these days, the actor said she can no longer recognize people due to age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

“I can’t see anymore,” Dench explained. “I can’t recognize anybody now ... I can’t see the television. I can’t see to read.”

Dench then turned to McKellen and said that she can “see your outline” and could recognize him only because “I know you so well.”

The “Skyfall” actor, who has eight Oscar nominations, was first diagnosed with AMD in 2012, according to Pop Culture .
