SPRINGFIELD — The Forest Park Civic Association has postponed its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony tonight at “The X” because of inclement weather.

Originally planned for tonight, the ceremony will be rescheduled at a later date to be determined.

Springfield is under a winter weather advisory until 7 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. Between 3 and 6 inches of snow is expected. Slippery road conditions are expected to affect tonight’s commutes, according to the alert.
