So much to celebrate at this year’s BMA Ball and After Party. Some 400 guests turned out for the Ball, which included presentations of the Artists Who Inspire Awards to artists Amy Sherald and Wangechi Mutu, and the Changemaker Who Inspires Award to The Sherman Family Foundation, in honor of the late George Sherman.
A seated dinner in some of the museum galleries followed. But the night had just started rolling. Another 200 folks added to the mix for the After Party, which featured a DJ, more food and drinks, and lots more mingling, both inside the museum and Gertrude’s Restaurant, but outside in a tented (and heated) portion of the museum’s Sculpture Garden.
The end result? Not only a night full of artistic glitz and fun for the participants, but about $1.1 million raised for the BMA.
