Vijay Kumar, 30, was found with stab wounds at around 4.15am on Barbourne Road, Worcester, on Tuesday, November 15. He was taken to hospital but died later that day .

The student's death is subject to a murder investigation by West Mercia Police. The force said their thoughts remain with the family at this time.

The family said that "life was never dull with him around". His elder brother has asked for help to repatriate his body and bring it back to India.

The University of the West of England , where Vijay attended, said it was "deeply shocked and saddened" by the news of his death. It added it is working with the police.
