Grammy-nominated rapper Poorstacy died Saturday in an incident reported at a hotel in Boca Raton, Florida, according to TMZ .
The Florida artist, born Carlito Milfort Jr., was 26 years old. No further details were revealed and a cause of death was not confirmed, PEOPLE reported.
Milfort Jr. was known for music spanning rap, emo, hip hop and heavy metal. He was featured on the 2020 “Bill & Ted Face the Music " movie soundtrack, which earned a Grammy nomination the following year. His most recent record, “Nothing belongs to you,” was released in July.
“Rest in peace you’ll never be forgotten,” wrote drummer and collaborator Travis Barker, of Blink-182, on Instagram. Barker also posted a video of them performing Poorstacy’s 2020 song “Hills Have Eyes.”
