STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A New Brighton man accused of possessing a dangerous cocktail of cocaine and fentanyl on Staten Island is headed to prison.
Abraham Tarr, 31, of Richmond Terrace, pleaded guilty Nov. 25 in state Supreme Court, St. George, to second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance in connection with his 2024 arrest.
In exchange for his plea, he is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 22 by Justice Mario F. Mattei to eight years in prison and five years of post-release supervision, according to a press release sent out Friday by District Attorney Michael E. McMahon.
The defendant also will be sentenced to an additional two to four years of incarceration, after he violated federal probation with this latest conviction, officials said.
