VIENNA, Va. — Allegations that money from massive fraud schemes conducted in Minnesota is making its way into the hands of terrorists are now officially under investigation by the U.S. Treasury Department.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bissent announced on X Monday that his department is launching the investigation to ensure that taxes paid by Americans "are not funding acts of global terror." The post also blames "feckless mismanagement" by the administration of former President Joe Biden and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for the possibility that funds are being sent overseas to the terrorist organization Al Shabaab.
