MINNESOTA, USA — The ever-popular EagleCam has returned! The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announced in a press release Tuesday that two cameras will capture eagle activity this year.
An eagle pair has been regularly observed at the nest that was on camera last year, according to the DNR. Typically, eagles will prepare the nest and then lay eggs in mid-February. The adults both incubate the eggs for just over a month, then take care of the chicks.
Last year, viewers were able to see two eaglets grow up, according to the DNR release. The camera is located near the Mississippi River in the Twin Cities.
The original EagleCam is also live, though the nest fell in April 2023. Viewers can see eagles and other birds that visit the site.
