A pedestrian died after being struck by a pickup truck on Tuesday morning.
At about 5:40 a.m., police and fire officials were called to Rogers Street, near the intersection of Manual F. Lewis Street, about a pedestrian struck by a vehicle, according to the Gloucester Police Department.
First responders found a man suffering from serious injuries. The man was treated at the scene and brought by ambulance to Addison Gilbert Hospital.
Randy Streeter, 57, of Rockport, the man struck by the pickup truck, was pronounced dead at about 6:25 a.m.
The driver of the pickup truck involved in the crash remained on the scene and cooperated with Gloucester police and the Massachusetts State Police.
