COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A man is facing charges after a deadly shooting in Richland County over the weekend.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said 26-year-old Mario Geovanny Baca Corrales is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
The charges stem from a Saturday shooting on the 300 block of Percival Road.
The sheriff’s department said Baca Corrales and the victim, who knew one another, got into a verbal argument that allegedly led Baca Corrales to open fire.
A responding RCSD deputy then found the victim face down at the end of a parking lot with a gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim died at the scene, officials said.
