VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) - A Walmart dairy plant in Valdosta is now open, bringing 400 jobs to the area.

Walmart celebrated the grand opening of the milk processing facility on Tuesday. This facility is the second Walmart-owned and operated processing facility in the country.

In a press release from Walmart, the company said the new plant will strengthen the supply chain for affordable, high-quality milk.

The 300,000 square-foot facility will process and bottle a variety of milk options and supply more than 650 Walmart stores and Sam’s Clubs across the Southeast.
