A Rockport man died in a pedestrian crash in Gloucester on Tuesday.

Around 5:40 a.m., Gloucester police and fire personnel responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Rogers Street near Manuel F. Lewis Street, Gloucester police wrote in a statement.

Upon arriving at the scene, police observed the male pedestrian had sustained serious injuries.

After receiving treatment at the scene, the victim, later identified as Randy Streeter, 57, of Rockport, was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the involved pickup truck remained on the scene and was cooperative with police, Gloucester police say.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing by Massachusetts State Police.
