The rules of the Premier League: The FA's disciplinary rules state that any player who sees five bookings from their team's first 19 Premier League matches in a single season will serve a one-match ban. Cards also do not carry over to the EFL Cup and FA Cup, and bans must therefore be served in the Premier League.
