GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A portion of southbound US-131 near I-196 is closed Tuesday following a semi truck crash.

It is unclear what led up to the crash, but Grand Rapids Professional Firefighters Local 366 said fire crews are working to extricate someone from the semi.

There are also HAZMAT teams on scene to clean up a "large quantity" of diesel fuel that leaked onto the highway.

It is unclear if anyone was injured.
