LAWRENCE — Kansas basketball will once again be without star freshman guard Darryn Peterson when the Jayhawks go up against UConn on Tuesday night inside Allen Fieldhouse.
KU coach Bill Self announced the news Tuesday morning on the social media platform X, via the team account. It leaves the No. 21 Jayhawks (6-2) without Peterson for a seventh-straight game. The No. 5 Huskies (6-1) were already going to be a tough opponent for Kansas to go up against, and now the matchup got that much more difficult.
“Darryn is not going to play tonight,” Self’s statement read. “He is very close. He has worked his butt off, but he is still not 100 percent. He is day-to-day.”
