YORK COUNTY, Va. — York County will resume curbside recycling the week of January 5, 2026, officials announced Tuesday.
Residents who still have TFC-branded recycling cans must exchange them before service restarts. The county will collect old cans and deliver new York County–branded containers beginning on Monday, December 8, 2025. Officials said residents should place their TFC cans at the curb by 7 a.m. on that day and leave them out for the entire week. Pickup may occur any time between Monday and Friday of that week. Cans must be empty.
Residents who already use a York County recycling can do not need to take any action and will not receive a replacement.
A new pickup schedule will be released before collection resumes. Billing will update automatically.
