COTTAGE GROVE, Wis. (WMTV) - The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the person who died last week after a crash in Town of Cottage Grove.

The agency stated Timothy Baumgard, 37, died from the injuries he suffered in the Thanksgiving crash.

The crash was reported after 9 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 27, near the intersection of County Highways N and MN.

Dane County Sheriff’s Office had reported the Madison man died in the crash, which involved a semi truck.

Traffic was rerouted for several hours as investigators reconstructed the crash.

The medical examiner completed its forensic examination on Nov. 28, and said additional testing is being conducted.
