On Tuesday at 12:16 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory in effect until 10 p.m. for Putnam County.
The weather service comments, "Wet snow, also pockets of freezing rain possible. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch."
"Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday evening commute," explains the weather service. "Slow down and use caution while traveling. Check local Department of Transportation information services for the latest road conditions. Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving.
