More than two in ten Chicago Police Department arrests were of White Hispanic individuals during the third quarter of 2025, totaling 2,875 cases, according to data published by the City of Chicago Police Department, in its Data Portal.
During this period, White Hispanic individuals accounted for the second highest number of arrests in Chicago, making up 22.7% of the total occurrences. Blacks represented the largest share at 64.2%. and Whites followed as the third largest at 9%. All remaining ethnicities collectively accounted for 4.1% of arrests.
According to the 2020 U.S. Census, Chicago is 32.7% white, 28.8% black, 29% Hispanic and 7% Asian.
The third quarter includes the months of July, August and September.
