MONROE, Mich. — Monroe Public Schools said three of its district vehicles were involved in traffic incidents Tuesday morning.

According to a press release from the district Tuesday afternoon, an MPS bus became temporarily stranded on Kelly Road due to a stopped train. Additionally, two other district vehicles were struck by other drivers, MPS said.

All students and staff were safe in each of these cases, MPS said, and all students were delivered to school.

"We are grateful for the outstanding work of our transportation department, especially during difficult weather conditions," the district said. "As winter weather continues, we ask for your patience and remind all drivers to allow extra space for buses and district vehicles on the road."
