Troy Police Detective Ryan Whiteside said he collected and reviewed video footage of 5-year-old Thomas Cooper's three dozen hyperbaric oxygen therapy appointments at the Oxford Center in Troy between Dec. 9, 2024 and Jan. 31, 2025, the day he was burned to death while trapped inside a hyperbaric chamber.
During most of his visits, Thomas wore pajamas, and "the shoes were always removed prior to going into the chamber," Whiteside said during testimony Tuesday, Dec. 2, in 52-4 District Court in Troy, where Oxford Center CEO Tamela Peterson and three employees are criminally charged in the death of the Royal Oak boy.
