STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Authorities are continuing their search for a 22-year-old Rutgers University student reported missing more than a week ago in New Jersey.
Mortimer Wortman was most recently seen in a wooded area of High Bridge Road in Jackson Township on Nov. 21 at about 10:30 p.m., according to a Jackson Township Police Department post on Facebook.
The area is in the vicinity of the Colliers Mills Wildlife Management Area.
Wortman’s car was located in the parking lot of the Regional Day School in Jackson.
“The Rutgers University Police Department is working closely with the Jackson Police Department, which is leading the investigation into the disappearance of Mortimer ‘Morty’ Wortman, a student enrolled at Rutgers–New Brunswick," said a statement from the university.
