SOUTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY (First Alert 4) - Police are investigating a homicide that occurred at a home in South County.

The incident happened around 11:20 p.m. on November 18 in the 300 block of Greycliff Bluff Drive.

An altercation occurred between Emil Schmidt IV and another man. Police say a struggle ensued before Schmidt was incapacitated. Schmidt was taken to a hospital, where he died on November 29.

A person of interest was taken into custody.
