Volunteer registration is now open for those who want to participate in Pasadena’s annual homeless count .
Pasadena Partnership and the city of Pasadena Monday, Dec. 1, invited members of the community to sign up to volunteer for the count that is scheduled to take place the night of Wednesday, Jan. 21 and the morning of Thursday, Jan. 22.
The homeless count provides the city data to guide policy and funding decisions surrounding homelessness in Pasadena. Volunteers will also administer a survey and hand out cold weather kits during the count.
This year’s count was delayed until February due to the Eaton fire. On the night of the count, 581 people were homeless in Pasadena, up 4% from the previous year’s point-in-time count. Included in that count were 12 people at shelters who had be
