SUMMIT TWP., MI – A woman and her four children may have lost everything they own when a fire broke out in their Summit Township apartment.
With no renter’s insurance and no place to live, a GoFundMe account was created to help April Worsham and her family navigate and rebuild their lives after the fire.
“It has just been a disaster for them,” her mother, Mona Worsham said. “She hasn’t had a chance to get back inside the apartment to check if anything is salvageable, but it doesn’t look good. It could all be gone.”
As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, the page has collected more than $6,700 in donations.
“I am so thankful for everyone who has been helping them. It means a lot,” she said.
April Worsham, a kindergarten teacher at Paragon Charter Academy, was not immediately available for com
