(WYMT) -President Trump has signed new legislation to increase funding for opioid recovery programs.

This initiative boosts support for the Comprehensive Addiction Recovery through Effective Employment and Reentry—or CAREER Act.

The CAREER Act helps individuals battling addiction to transition back into the workforce.

The recent reauthorization, part of the Support for Patients and Communities Act, adds $7 million annually, raising the total to $210 million.

These funds are crucial for treatment centers nationwide, providing resources to help those struggling with substance use disorder rebuild their lives.
