Detroit Catholic Central offensive lineman Benny Eziuka became the most recent in a string of players to follow head coach James Franklin to Virginia Tech with his commitment switch on Tuesday.

“IM HOME!!,” Eziuka posted on X on Tuesday morning.

The senior interior OL, a 3-star prospect who may still be running with his pick-6 in Sunday’s D1 championship victory , made a trip to Blacksburg in recent weeks.

Franklin was dismissed by Penn State on Oct. 12, a day following the team’s loss to Northwestern. Virginia Tech announced his hire on Nov. 17. He’s replacing Brent Pry, Franklin’s former defensive coordinator for the Nittany Lions from 2016-21.
